consumer confidence index rose in april

signs that the worst may be over for the economy lifted americans’ moods in april, boosting a closely watched index to its highest level since november. the new york-based conference board announced today that its consumer confidence index (cci) rose more than 12 points to 39.2, up from 26.9 in march. this marks the highest level since november’s 44.7 and well surpasses expectations for 29.5. click on for more.

how to promote through squidoo

according to wikipedia, squidoo is a social media tool that allows visitors to create pages called lenses for subjects of interest. lenses are interactive, and can contain flickr photos, google maps, blogs, ebay auctions, youtube videos, and other links. squidoo is in the top 200 most visited sites in the world, and in the top 50 most viewed in the united states. i thought it might be helpful if i offered a tutorial on ways that you can utilize squidoo to aid in your business’ marketing, advertising, publicity, etc. click on for that.

tony hawke executes successful twitter contest

i hadn’t heard about this until today on cnn.com, but skateboard extraordinaire tony hawke recently used twitter in a very cool way. he launched a treasure hunt in several u.s. and internation cities, enlisting friends to hide skateboards and then tweeting clues to followers at his twitter site. he called it a tremendous success, but it sounds like he needed someone to help him manage the traffic!

elevate is a song that came to me today. funny’s how entire songs come to me in an instant. all i have to do is listen, drop what i’m doing and record it before it leaves me. i didn’t bother heading into the recording studio out back to make it pretty. just used a handheld recorder to create this rough. you’ll hear me blowing out the mic during the choruses. i’ll re-record this for that “record to be” late this year. click on for the lyrics.
