original music: sublimation (the remix)
sublimation was a song i composed at the university of richmond in 1995. it is one of my favorites. originally written for a 9davine collection called the butterfly experiment, this song was one of many collaborations with richmond-based bassist and friend, justin poroszok. the version here is a remix that i’ll feature on my forthcoming record. still not sure exactly when i’ll find the time to complete said record. yes, i perform all instruments and voices on this and most tracks.

when something is lost, the world stops
twice in the last week, i’ve been in the middle of situations where things were lost. a friend lost her only set of car keys. i lost a bracelet while walking the dog. in both cases, the world came to a halt. we are all the same at times like these – we stop whatever we’re doing, retrace our steps, obsess over every last decision, etc. now, think of things lost in business. when you lose a bid for new business, or when you lose an account, or when an employee is lost to another opportunity – do you stop everything you’re doing to examine each step prior to the loss and exactly why it happened?
if preventing loss in business is something you care about, then please take a look at the influencia and contache service packages in the business growth suite that i launched in early april. remember that there are several ways to grow a business. accountability and efficiency are definitely two areas that get overlooked – especially in a down economy.
viral video advertising 101
i’m working on a pair of websites this week where i find myself explaining how to get started with viral video advertising. i thought it would be helpful to create a post on the topic. you don’t need to hire a big studio or be a video production expert these days to generate advertising and branding value through video. i’m sure you’ve seen the homemade efforts on facebook and myspace for a while – many of which have a surprisingly high impact despite their lack of studio polish. this post explores a few basic ideas for where to start.
