9davine was born from the mind of eric s. townsend, a jersey boy who wandered south and barely escaped the ghosts of the confederacy. the evening will feature two sets by the percussive guitarist, soul singer and founder of recording industry resource splashkit.com. scheduled guests include opener brad doggett, and 9davine backers jeff severson, justin poroszok, jennifer carney, jim baughman, and others.

townsend’s passion for music began at the age of five. a mickey mouse record player became his first muse. “you couldn’t separate me from that thing. i spun the purple records almost exclusively, using beatles 45s as frisbees.” purple labels were a staple of motown, and heavy doses of marvin gaye, diana ross and donna summer meant his soul would never rest.

9davine presents a catalog of music that’s rich in mood and visuals. we hope you’ll join jammin’ java in welcoming a true crowd pleaser on his latest journey.
